It's easy to say you're focused on green initiatives, but to truly embrace sustainability requires much more than that.
For us, it means a commitment on every level of our organization and with every step of our process - from the traceability of our raw materials and the decision to work with like-minded partners and suppliers to the culture we foster within each of our facilities and the way in which we embrace our communities.
We take our responsibility seriously, and are committed to transforming our organization and pioneering standards that have a lasting, positive impact for our partners, our people and our planet for generations to come.
AJW is a proud member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), a non-profit organization committed to creating a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. Membership in this organization is made up of organizations and individuals who share the USGBC goal of a sustainable future. As a partner in construction, AJW believes that it is our duty to help push the green building industry forward.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green building certification system that provides third party verification that a building project was designed with environmentally-safe goals in mind.
Developed by the United States Green Building Council, LEED provides straightforward guidelines for recognizing and executing green solutions for design and construction. Any building, no matter how large or small, may be LEED certified.
As intimidating as LEED certification may seem, we know that a little extra help goes a long way. That's why the AJW collection includes recycled, sustainable, and energy-efficient products that fall within the LEED guidelines to earn you points in the program.
